Plans revealed for mixed-use neighborhood around Browns headquarters

BEREA, Ohio (WJW) — Plans are taking shape for the creation of a mixed-use neighborhood around the Cleveland Browns headquarters and training facility in Berea .

According to a press release from the Browns Tuesday, Berea City Schools, the City of Berea, DiGeronimo Companies, Haslam Sports Group and University Hospitals are teaming up for what’s being called District 46 at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus.

The new neighborhood will be more than 16 acres and bring a variety of spaces to the region including a community field for youth, high school and adult participation sports, a sports medicine facility, a field house for community use, an upscale hotel, apartments, a parking garage and 30,000 square-feet of retail space.
