Kidnapped 7-Year-Old Gwinnett County Boy Found Safe in Los Angeles, Mother Arrested

In a recent turn of events, a 7-year-old boy from Gwinnett County, who was reported kidnapped, has been found safe. The child’s mother, Michelle Marks, was apprehended in Los Angeles, California, following a coordinated effort between Georgia and California law enforcement agencies. FOX5 Atlanta reported that after Marks lost custody of her son due to allegations of child neglect, she took him from a residence in Snellville during a supervised visit.

Details provided by Gwinnett County Police indicate that the mother had made threats to harm herself if she were to lose custody of her son. Further investigations revealed that Marks used an alias to travel from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport.
