‘We don’t want to see another Billy out here’ | Unhoused New Albany man hospitalized with hypothermia during winter storm

NEW ALBANY, Ind. — Billy Watson, an unhoused, New Albany man, was found frostbitten and hypothermic by authorities after Kentuckiana was hit with an historic snowstorm.

“I’m praying for Billy,” homeless outreach advocate Paul Stensrud said. “We don’t want to see another Billy out here.”

Watson’s sister Madeline Hamby wrote on social media: “My brother Billy Watson was found Tuesday after the storm. He was unresponsive and suffered from hypothermia.”…
