Airline axes multiple nonstop flights from CVG airport

CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – Frontier Airlines has cut seven nonstop destinations at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport for the time being, including five that it launched with much fanfare as a part of a major expansion at CVG.

By January 2025, Frontier will no longer fly from CVG to Boston; Charlotte, N.C.; Philadelphia; Minneapolis; Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport; Raleigh-Durham; and New York’s LaGuardia International Airport, large markets in which it hoped to make inroads.

CVG said it believes Frontier’s moves are about passenger demand. The airline will serve 14 destinations, with increasing capacity to Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers, Phoenix, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Sarasota, Palm Beach and Cancun…
