DERRY — A 3-alarm brush fire Wednesday afternoon had a portion of Interstate 93 shut down between Derry and Windham as firefighters fought the wind to gain control of the flames.
Members of the Derry Fire Department were called to the area of Fordway Extension along I-93 around 1 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls about a brush fire, fire officials said in a statement. Shortly after, another series of 911 calls came in about a secondary brush fire along I-93 in Windham.
