LUBBOCK, Texas — A Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit callout was initiated after the Lubbock Police Department responded to a welfare check in the 3000 block of Colgate Street Thursday evening.
According to police, patrol officers were called to the residence at 8:31 p.m.

When officers located the individual they appeared to have serious, life-threatening injuries. The individual was transported to Covenant Medical Center.
