Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center professor awarded Fellow of National Academy of Inventors

Lubbock, Texas — Texas Tech University is yet again having one of its own being recognized in what the scientific community considers the highest professional distinction award that can be given to inventors.

A professor of pharmaceutical sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center professor awarded Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (TTUHSC) Dr. Hiranmoy Das, is named a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, or NAI, and was chosen out of 170 nominees. A colleague, professor in the school of medicine’s department of obstetrics and gynecology and fellow of the NAI himself, Dr. Sam Prien said this is a prestigious honor to receive.

Dr. Prien said “It’s more of an international group than a national group anymore. But it is a group of inventors that have been recognized because of the patent work they’ve done over the years.”
