Turnovers plague Oklahoma State in 64-54 loss to Texas Tech

Oklahoma State could not take care of the ball, costing the Cowboys on the road.

OSU had bright spots besides turnovers but could never get the lead, as it took their sixth loss in conference play in a 64-54 defeat to Texas Tech in Lubbock. OSU head coach Steve Lutz said the turnovers were caused by themselves and not by the opposing defense.

“You can’t turn the ball over 22 times against anyone (and) expect to win, much less (against) a team like Texas Tech — that’s a top 10 defense in the country,” Lutz said. “I still feel in my mind that a lot of those turnovers were self-inflicted, and us trying to do way too much instead of letting the game come to us.”…
