Wilson ISD implementing no cell phone policy at its high school

WILSON, Texas — Beginning Sept. 30, one South Plains school will begin taking phones from its high school students at the beginning of the day to “ensure your child’s safety and…that they have no distractions from learning.”

Wilson Independent School District’s principal Brent Scott said in an announcement on social media Friday its High School students would be required to deposit their phones, headphones and earbuds in a container, a policy already implemented at its Junior High School.
