ETSU men’s soccer remains unbeaten in SoCon play, takes down Mercer 1-0

MACON, Ga. (WCYB) — An early first half goal was the highlight of the night in Macon, Georgia as ETSU men’s soccer come back to Johnson City still in control of the SoCon standings on Saturday.

Jimmy Choi sent a shot into the 18-yard box, and after a Mercer defender headed the ball backwards, a racing Louie Salkeld was in prime position to send the ball past the goal line to give the Bucs the lead.

From there, it was a great defensive performance and work in net that sealed the win. Mercer took 20 shots on the night and Marc Kouadio stopped all nine that were on target en route to registering his third straight shutout in SoCon play…
