ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – South Georgia remains dry through the evening, dropping temperatures into the upper 60s. A few areas of patchy fog cannot be ruled out under mostly clear skies.

Sunday is the first official start of fall. The fall equinox occurs at 8:43 AM, but this will not impact temperatures for the day. Highs will climb toward the low 90s under mostly sunny skies. Rain chances will remain low. Lows will warm up slightly into the low 70s. There is a similar setup through the mid-week as high pressure continues to dominate the forecast.

It is too early to tell who will be impacted by this system if it develops, but we will keep you updated. For now, we are at least expecting late week, Thursday and Friday, showers are likely with cooler low-mid 80s…
