FRESNO — This November, Fresno State is observing Native American Heritage Month with a series of events that recognize the significance of Native American culture, history, and contributions to the United States. Established by George H. W. Bush in 1990, the month-long recognition brings attention to the impact of Native Americans on the country’s foundation and development. In line with this, Fresno State’s Cross Cultural and Gender Center has organized events to honor the history, resilience, and achievements of Native communities.
