A two-year-old toddler is safe after a fall from a third-story balcony in Spring, Texas, thanks to an off-duty Houston Fire Department cadet. Last Friday, Chase Armstrong was home with her three children when a stranger, Takeya Johnson, knocked on her door. Takeya explained that her son, Zach Johnson, had just caught Chase’s two-year-old daughter, Carter, after the toddler fell from the family’s third-floor balcony.
Zach and his mom had been talking outside the building, catching up after his day at Houston Fire Department Academy, when they noticed Carter getting dangerously close to the balcony’s edge.
