The Texas A&M Transportation Institute’s annual congestion report shows that Katy-area roads remain some of the most congested in Texas. The I-10 stretch between the Grand Parkway and North Eldridge Parkway ranked 28th, while the Grand Parkway from South Fry Road to Morton Ranch Road ranked 61st. Both areas have seen worse traffic compared to last year, as reported by ABC13.
A Texas A&M study, commissioned by the Texas Legislature in 2009 to address growing traffic congestion, shows that efforts to reduce delays have helped cut traffic slowdowns by 7% since 2019.
