Businesses donate to Berlin brush fire first responders

BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) — The efforts of the firefighters in Berlin are not going unnoticed, and local businesses are making donations to show their appreciation.

Moose’s Burgers made dozens of sandwiches Thursday for the first responders fighting the Hawthorne Fire, and that comes after providing quite a few of their signature burgers the day before.

The Meriden restaurant owners, Carrie Teele and Darrelle Lucas, provided a feast for first responders on Wednesday, including 36 burgers, two trays of salads, two trays of wraps, and 10 cases of water.

“It feels good to be able to help out people in your community. especially first responders and firefighters that are putting their life on the line,” Lucas said…
