BEACON FALLS, Conn. (WTNH) — State police say a Wolcott woman turned herself in Wednesday after being accused of fabricating her own harassment from a cyber hacker.
Deborah Ann Caloutas, 63, was charged with:
- Falsely reporting an incident concerning serious physical injury/death
- Unauthorized use of a computer/other computer offenses over $2,500
- Tampering with/fabricating physical evidence
- Unlawful dissemination of an intimate image
- Third-degree computer crimes
Police said her charges stem from a multi-year investigation after Caloutas and a family member reported they were being harassed by a cyber hacker.

However, police said they found Caloutas was actually the one behind the harassing material.
