The Saints have requested an interview with Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.

Since firing head coach Dennis Allen midway through the 2024 season, the New Orleans Saints were figured to eventually pursue Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to be his replacement.

Monday, the Saints made that official, formally requesting to interview Glenn for their open head coaching job, according to a league source.

Glenn has served as the Lions defensive coordinator for the last four seasons, and has been through the interview process several times during his time there — including an interview with the Saints in 2022 prior to their hire of Allen. He is again a hot coaching candidate, with reported interviews also lined up with the New York Jets and Chicago Bears…
