The Crawford County Art Center is celebrating the grand opening of its new location at 117 N. Sandusky Ave. in Bucyrus.
The 2,000-square-foot space was renovated with an investment of nearly $10,000, funded through grants and private donations, according to a news release. The Crawford County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday. The center will be open to the public noon-6 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
The center features art-friendly floors, lighting, accessible seating and an upgraded kitchen. The classroom has been equipped with electrical upgrades to support classes involving sewing machines and hot tools.

The move was driven by the need for additional space and services, according to the release. The new location will allow for expanded services, including private event rentals, organization and corporate rentals, facilitated art activities, free kids classes, open studio sessions, access to tools for artists, a retail gallery with consignment pieces for sale and a front area for exhibitions…
