The former site of Mesa’s Fiesta Mall is one step closer to redevelopment. Mesa City Council has approved a rezoning application that will allow new housing and retail to be built at the site.
Fiesta Mall for years sat along Southern Avenue and Alma School Road in Mesa. The mall had been vacant since 2019 and has now been completely demolished.
Tempe-based firm Verde Investments now owns the nine parcels that make up the site. After the unanimous approval of zoning changes for the 80-acre site, the developers say they can soon get to work transforming it into a mixed-use community…
