Man sneaks into Fairfield home via ‘doggy door,’ police say

FAIRFIELD, Calif. ( KRON ) — A man was arrested after breaking into a Fairfield residence by sneaking in through the home’s doggy door, the Fairfield Police Department said.

FPD officers received reports that a stranger had entered a home in the 1600 block of Flamingo Drive on Sept. 8 at around 3 a.m.

Police said the resident whose house was being broken into was not at home during the break-in, but they saw the incident through their home surveillance video, which led them to contact FPD.

Fairfield police officers arrived at the home and noted that “some of the victim’s property had been removed from the house and staged on the porch.” Police said they also heard noises inside the residence before a man fled to a neighboring house’s yard…
