Hagerstown Police helped recover about $15,000 worth of merchandise stolen from area retailers following a special operation that began in June, according to a police news release.
The op, named Operation Blue Light Special, involved the cooperation of retailers in and around the city. Hagerstown Police thanked the following retailers for their cooperation: Lowe’s, Home Depot, Walmart, Target, Martin’s, Weis, Kohl’s, J.C. Penney and Belk, the release states.
