Vehicle fire causes significant delays on I-70 in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Traffic was at a standstill along Interstate 70 after a tractor-trailer caught fire in Washington County on Monday morning.

According to the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), the fire is on I-70 East at Bower Avenue.

Maryland State Police (MSP) told DC News Now that shortly after 6:30 a.m., troopers were called to the area for a tractor-trailer on fire.
