First 3D printed home in Columbus still underway after drought, delay in getting concrete mix caused setbacks

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Progress on the first 3D-printed home in Columbus continues.

The project is being done in collaboration with the city of Columbus and the goal is to use the new technology and bring more affordable housing options to the area. The model home is located in South Linden.

Ohio contractor Mayo Makinde said the 3D-printed part of the home is complete. Now it just needs windows, doors, roofing, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems…
