Ohio Stadium has been a bit sleepy at points in 2024.
It’s somewhat understandable given that the Buckeyes haven’t played a ranked opponent at home, with their top-five matchups against Oregon and Penn State both coming on the road. But on his weekly appearance for 97.1 The Fan’s Buckeye Roundtable show, Day called for the Horseshoe to be the loudest it’s ever been.
“This is a big weekend for all of us and it’s a big weekend for our fans. … When they’re loud, it makes a huge difference and it’s going to make a difference in this game,” Day said. “This has got to be a hostile, angry environment. We’ve got everything on the line this week. … We’re gonna be practicing with an edge, we’re gonna be playing with an edge this week. And I know that when Buckeye Nation shows up in that stadium, they’re going to have an edge. There’s going to be an electricity in the stadium.
