WSP: Driver dies after rolling vehicle down hill near Blewett Pass

DRYDEN – A rollover crash near Blewett Pass killed one person Friday night. Washington State Troopers report 30-year-old Drake Remlinger of Snohomish was going too fast for conditions when he lost control at around 7 p.m. about four miles north of the border of Chelan and Kittitas counties.

State Patrol officials say heavy rains contributed to the cause of the wreck. A press release highlighted that Remlinger left the road, rolled down a 30-foot embankment and came to rest on his top. Remlinger died at the scene and his passenger, 24-year-old Megan Amento of Kirkland, was injured.

Troopers say Remlinger was wearing a seatbelt, it’s not known if Amento was belted up. Authorities are investigating whether DUI was a factor in the crash. …
