Anna Engelstad named CEO of Knoxville Habitat for Humanity

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — Knoxville Habitat for Humanity announced on Friday that its board of directors selected a new chief executive officer following a nationwide search.

Anna Engelstad was elected as Knoxville Habitat for Humanity’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2024.

Anna Engelstad is the new CEO and will begin her term on Sept. 1. The board has reviewed more than 100 candidates for the role.

“We are thrilled to welcome Anna Engelstad as our new CEO,” said Ty Hall, Chair of the Board of Directors at Knoxville Habitat for Humanity. “Her extensive experience and passion for our mission make her the ideal leader to guide us into the future. We are confident that under her leadership, Knoxville Habitat will continue to thrive and expand its impact on families in our community.”

As CEO, Engelstad will oversee all aspects of Knoxville Habitat for Humanity’s operations, including home construction, community engagement, and fundraising efforts.

“I am honored to take on the role of CEO at Knoxville Habitat for Humanity,” said Engelstad in a news release. “This organization has a profound impact on our community, and I am eager to work with the dedicated team, volunteers, and supporters to continue building strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.”
