KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Two Knoxville entrances took home a total of $15,000 from Innov865 Alliance’s 2024 Startup Day pitch competition. The annual “Shark Tank”-style competition highlights some of the up-and-coming startups in East Tennessee .
Safire won the $10,000 Judges’ Choice Award, and Loop won the Crowd Favorite cash prize of $5,000. Safire develops advanced Li-ion battery safety technologies while Loop helps organizations extract data and share information reliably and efficiently.

The event also gave away two additional awards. Knox Bots won the $2,500 Emerging Entrepreneur Winner prize while the Traction Award winner was StoragePug.
