Market Square Madness brought the Tennessee basketball teams to downtown Knoxville for some outdoor hoops Friday evening witnessed by a slew of fans and six Lady Vol recruits with a courtside view.
Now in its third year, Market Square Madness is the preseason fan event for the Lady Vols and Vols with some friendly competition – this year also included an egg toss – and lots of music, hype and fireworks.
The smallest participant among several boys and one girl won the biggest applause in the dunk contest for kids with a plastic hoop stand. She went last and did a cartwheel into a split – while holding her basketball – and then stood up, ran and slammed it.
