KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — The Knoxville Police Department was on the scene of what was described on its social media as a “serious” crash Monday morning along Interstate 40.

KPD shared on X that officers were working the scene on eastbound I-40 just east of Strawberry Plains Pike. While two lanes of the roadway were still open, there were delays in the flow of traffic.
