Zoo Knoxville sends crews to Asheville to help with recovery efforts

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)—Following devastating flooding from Hurricane Helene, Zoo Knoxville helped the Western North Carolina Nature Center in Asheville, North Carolina, by providing critical aid after it suffered significant damage.

A specialized crew of 10 professionals, including zoo staff, welders and arborists, arrived at the Nature Center on Oct. 8 to assist with recovery efforts.
