Kroger donating more than 70K pounds of food from wellness festival to Cincinnati foodbanks

CINCINNATI — Kroger has announced a donation of more than 70,000 pounds of produce from the Kroger Wellness Festival to two Cincinnati foodbanks.

Freestore Foodbank and Shared Harvest Foodbank will be receiving the produce, which will provide more than 58,000 meals to help fight hunger in Greater Cincinnati.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting our neighbors with this significant contribution to our local Feeding America foodbanks,” said Colleen Lindholz, president of Kroger Health in a press release. “This donation not only aligns with the company’s commitment to Zero Hunger | Zero Waste but also resonates with the mission of the Wellness Festival, which is centered on bringing holistic health to the whole family.”…
