Long Island man with active arrest warrant tried to gouge Nassau officer’s eyes out: police

ELMONT, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A Long Island man who had an active arrest warrant against him attacked two Nassau County police officers who tried to bring him into custody on Saturday afternoon, officials said.

The officers were on routine patrol when they recognized 28-year-old Hurguens Jasmin of Elmont, who had an outstanding warrant.
