Festival organizers for Akron Pride have said they schedule the event later in the summer to avoid directly competing with other Pride Month events held each June in Northeast Ohio.
Where and what time does the Akron Pride 5K take place?
The Akron Pride 5K, which begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m., starts and finishes at Canal Place. Packet pick-up begins on Thursday, August 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the Akron Art Museum, located at 1 S. High Street.
On race day, packet pick-up starts at 5:30 p.m. at Canal Place, located at 520 S. Main Street.
