Man sentenced for attempting to bring firearms on plane at Charlotte airport

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Charlotte man is facing 18 months in prison after he attempted to bring two firearms and ammunition through security at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, announced by Dena J. King, Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.

In addition to the prison term, 61-year-old Ahmad Mohmad Elzein was also ordered to serve two years under court supervision after he was released from prison.
