CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — The jury returned a guilty verdict and a judge put out sentencing on a man accused of viciously attacking a woman he was dating, the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday.
Wesley Smith, 40, will serve at least two years in prison after a jury found him guilty of assault with a deadly weapon and assault by strangulation.
Records stated that in August of 2021, the victim arrived at the apartment she and Smith shared. The two of them had a ‘dating relationship,’ the DA’s office said…
