Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs were thankful to escape a road trip to Charlotte, North Carolina with a 30-27 win over the Carolina Panthers thanks to a last-second field goal.
While Mahomes was glad his team moved to 10-1 on the season, he’d like to start being able to relax late in games rather than leading game-winning drives in the final moments.
“You want to have some blowouts,” Mahomes admitted after the win . “You want be a little calmer in the fourth quarter. I’ve always said it can be a good thing as you get to the playoffs and later in the season, just knowing that you’ve been in those moments before and knowing how to kind of attack it. ”But I would love to win a game [before] the very last play.”
