Woman charged with felony hit-and-run after pedestrian fatally struck in east Charlotte

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A woman has been charged with felony hit and run after striking a pedestrian in east Charlotte, police say.

On December 8, around 4:37 p.m., CMPD officers responded to a hit-and-run call with injuries in the 6200 block of Albemarle Road. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive person, later identified as 49-year-old Jeremiah Daniel Parrish, lying in the middle of the road.

Medic transported Parrish to Atrium Health Main with life-threatening injuries. On December 14, Parrish died as a result of his injuries…
