A former correctional officer at the Evins Regional Juvenile Center has been arrested for taking cash to bring in contraband to minor offenders.
The Texas Juvenile Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General said in a news release that 34-year-old McAllen resident Jacquevias James Watkins was arrested Tuesday on a charge of bribery.
