More people around Illinois are getting sick with respiratory illness.
The Illinois Department of Public Health said the state is recording high levels of the flu, RSV, and COVID-19, which was an increase from moderate levels the previous week.
Statewide, visits to the emergency room for acute respiratory illness were also increasing. About 20% of emergency department visits during the week between Dec. 29 and Jan. 4 were due to acute respiratory illness.…
