HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — The Historic Harrisburg Association released a statement Wednesday in agreement with the Broad Street Market vendors and stakeholders that the restoration of the Brick Market House should be the top priority in returning the market to its full potential.
They said in a statement on social media that the restoration should include upgrades to essential systems such as electrical work and fire protections. They also recommended that improvements and upgrades be made to the Stone Market House and the Plaza, suggesting those could be made possible via funding from the Keystone Grant.
“In all cases, we reiterate our recommendation for an inclusive decision making process that allows for both an impaneled stakeholder advisory body and appropriate opportunities for communication and input from the community at large.”…
