During a special concert at Bow Creek Farm and Cattle Company, Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding honored country music star Luke Bryan for his contributions to farming and his partnership with Feeding America. The recognition came as part of Bryan’s 2024 National Farm Tour, which celebrates farmers and supports hunger relief.
Secretary Redding presented Governor Josh Shapiro’s proclamation declaring September 19 as “Here’s to the Farmer Day” in Pennsylvania. The proclamation recognized the vital role farmers play in sustaining families and the economy and their efforts in combating hunger through their partnership with Feeding America.
“Luke Bryan shines a light on farmers and raises critical funds for Feeding America,” Redding said. “The Shapiro Administration stands with him, supporting our farmers and ensuring their products reach hungry families across Pennsylvania.”
Bryan, a second-generation farmer from Georgia, started his Farm Tour in 2009 to honor farmers and their contributions to communities.
