Road work causes backups on Interstate 81

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) — Road work has traffic on Interstate 81 North near Carlisle backed up for about eight miles at this hour.

According to 511PA , the back up starts at Exit 47 and extends south nearly to milepost 39.

PennDOT has the right lane of the highway closed from milepost 48 to milepost 51 for pavement repairs.
