Air stagnation advisory for S. Oregon until Friday midday

On Thursday at 12:48 a.m. an air stagnation advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Friday at noon for Central Douglas County and Eastern Curry County and Josephine County as well as Jackson County.

“Poor air quality will continue. This is due to an inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants,” states the weather service. “Mixing and ventilation should be better at the south end of the Rogue Valley from around Talent to Ashland due to stronger SE winds.”…
