INDIAN RIVER COUNTY − A woman who was struck by a high-speed Brightline passenger train last week remained hospitalized in a trauma unit Tuesday, as law enforcement officials closed the investigation into the incident.
The woman’s right arm was severely wounded by the passing train Jan. 9, and she was flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce where she was said to be in stable condition Monday night, hospital and law enforcement spokespersons said.
