Right before the clock striked midnight to end Halloween in the eastern time zone, the deadline also passed for NBA teams to exercise rookie scale team options for the 2025-26 season. While most are for reasonable salaries, it feels as if more were declined this season than previous ones. This could be due in part because of second apron concerns.
