When Ron du Preez was a student at Andrews University in the 1970s, distance runner Bill Rodgers visited his class.
Since then, du Preez has been an avid runner, completing marathons, 5K races and 10K races. Recently, he completed a 72-mile run around Lake Tahoe in honor of his 72nd birthday.
Du Preez wants to inspire people to get active and take care of their health. Du Preez has founded a running, walking and biking club for residents of Banning, Beaumont and other communities in the area.
