HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police are searching for a man accused of carjacking a vehicle around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
The incident happened in the area of 12 Congress Street. Police said the victim and her friend were sitting in the car smoking when the suspect tore threw the plastic covering her driver’s side window and pointed a firearm at them.

When the suspect demanded their belongings, the pair reportedly told him they didn’t have anything on them. When they got out of the vehicle, the suspect drove away with it, throwing the victim’s cell phone out the window in the process.
