Man arrested after allegedly stealing lottery tickets from Waterbury store

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A New Haven man was arrested after police say he broke into a Winner’s store in Waterbury and stole nonactivated lottery tickets.

According to police, at around 4:45 a.m. on Jan. 3, Waterbury police responded to a burglary on Thomaston Avenue.

Police said a suspect, who fled on foot, used a rock to break the store’s glass and enter.
