A man previously tried last year before being granted a temporary stay of execution by a hung jury was convicted of voluntary manslaughter for the death of his 33-year-old friend in 2021, authorities announced on Monday.

Rockville resident Jonathan Mohelski, 39, will face a decade in prison in connection to the death of Brandon Sutherland in November 2021 following multiple trials, according to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office.
