OXFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Oxford celebrated the second night of Hanukkah on Thursday with an ice menorah carving, chocolate coins dropped from a fire ladder and a message of bringing light to darkness.
“Being able to add that light, and add that positivity, and add that community togetherness, what we’re trying to do here tonight is one we can all benefit from,” said Rabbi Shmaya Hect, the director of the Chabad Jewish Center of Oxford.
